1. Create a spline that will form the outline of the stairs. To do this, go to Create > Shapes > Line, then click and drag to create the staircase shape.
2. Select the spline, then go to Modify > Convert To > Convert to Editable Poly. This will convert the spline into 3D geometry.
3. Select the newly created polygonal object and go to Modify > Extrude. In the Parameters rollout, increase the value of the Extrude Height field to reflect the desired height of each stair step.
4. Go to Modify > Edit Polygons > Bevel to add bevels to the edge of each stair step.
5. To add details such as railings or balusters, use the Splines tools to draw the necessary shapes and the ProBoolean command to combine the shapes with the base geometry.
6. Finally, apply materials to the object to add texture and make the staircase look realistic.
