Good quality plywood is characterized by its uniform thickness, smooth and tight edges, smooth surface, a straight grain pattern, and lack of warping or twisting. When selecting plywood, look for boards with a light color, as these are generally less likely to have knots or holes. Carefully inspect the edges and surface to make sure there are no cracks, gaps, or defects.
Also, check the backside of the plywood for voids, which can weaken the overall strength of the board. Additionally, you should also check the glue used in the manufacture of the plywood to make sure it is of good quality.
