4. Secure the plywood by hammering some 2-inch screws into the floor.
5. Fill in any gaps between the plywood and the walls with thin pieces of wood.
6. Apply a layer of thinset mortar to the plywood and smooth it out with a trowel.
7. Allow the mortar to dry completely before adding any sealant or flooring.
8. Once everything is dry, sand the surface to make sure it is smooth before applying a sealant or flooring.
