Creating cement planters with cloth is a relatively easy process. The first step is to make a mold for the planter. This can be done by cutting out a cardboard template of the desired shape, such as a cylinder or cube. Once the template is in place, cover it with a layer of cling wrap before covering it with two or three layers of cloth, laying them overlapping each other. Secure the end of the cloth layers with hot glue.
Once this is complete, you will need to make a mixture of cement and water. Start with 1 part cement and 3 parts water, adjusting the amount of water used until the mixture has a thick, yogurt-like consistency. Once completed, spread the cement mixture over the cloth-covered mold, filling it until the desired thickness is achieved. Allow the planter to dry and cure for at least 24 hours before adding any plants.
