Creating a section in AutoCAD 3D is fairly simple. Begin by drawing the desired geometry utilizing the 3D Modeling tools provided, including 3D primitives, Extrude, Revolve, Loft, and Sweep commands. Once the geometry is completed, create a view cube and orient the view to the desired angle.
Then use the Section Plane tool, which is located in the Home ribbon tab and Render panel, to create a plane cutting through the geometry. Finally, you can render the result using the Render command found in the Visualize tab in the Ribbon.
