1. Use a polyurethane sealant or oil-based paint to minimize moisture absorption.
2. Sand plywood regularly to remove any existing surface mold or mildew.
3. Make sure the plywood is kept in a dry, well-ventilated space.
4. Keep plywood away from direct sources of heat or moisture.
