      1. Install a heavy-duty dead-bolt: Installing a heavy-duty deadbolt is one of the most effective ways to reinforce a door against kick-ins. Make sure the lock you choose is made with reinforced steel and has a hardened strike plate.

      2. Add a metal kick-plate: Adding a metal kick-plate helps reinforce the area around the door that is most vulnerable to being kicked in. This can be a simple metal plate attached to the bottom of the door with screws.

      3. Use three-inch screws: Replace the standard two-inch screws that are used to hold the hinges and strike plates of the door with three-inch screws. This will provide a much better grip into the door frame, making it more challenging for an intruder to kick in the door.

      4. Install an auxiliary door brace: An auxiliary door brace is a great tool for reinforcing a door against kick-ins. It is a metal bar that fits in the track at the bottom of the door, helping to resist the force of a kick-in attempt.
