The first step in repairing a hole in a culvert is to determine the size and location of the hole. Once the hole has been identified, it is important to properly clean the area around the hole in order to ensure a good bond between the patch material and the surrounding pipe.
Next, select the appropriate patch material for the project, such as epoxy resin or cementitious grout, and mix the material according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Apply the patch material to the inside of the culvert where the hole is located, making sure the patch completely covers the hole. The patch should be applied in multiple layers if needed. Allow the patch to dry completely, and then inspect the patch to make sure it is completely sealed.
