1. Attach the tribrach to your theodolite and adjust the screws on the tribrach until the theodolite is level.
2. Place the theodolite on its tripod and secure it using the locking handle.
3. Install the tribrach adapter and lock it into place.
4. Ensure the telescope is facing forward and the lines of sight are true.
5. Set the telescope focus to infinity and centre the crosshairs in the eyepiece.
6. Sight a known point and record the horizontal and vertical angles.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for every point you need to measure.
