Compressive strength of cement is determined by compressive strength testing machine. It is also known as Compression testing machine. It is used to test the compressive strength of cement.
It is done by applying pressure on a cement specimen in the form of cubes or cylinders. The maximum pressure that can be applied to the specimen is marked on the machine. The specimen is then placed in the machine and the pressure is applied until it breaks.
The compressive strength is then calculated by dividing the maximum pressure applied to the specimen by the area of the specimen.
