To turn off an irrigation system for winter, you will need to locate the main shut-off valve for the system. This is usually located near the water supply pipe. Once you have found the shut-off valve, close it by turning the handle clockwise until it is fully closed.
You may also need to disconnect any pumps, timers, or controllers associated with your irrigation system. After the valves and pumps are shut off, it is recommended to drain any remaining water from the lines to prevent freezing.
