Function of Reinforcement bar in concrete as follows:  

1. It will absorbs the tensile, shear, and the compressive stresses in a concrete structure.
2. It will provide additional strength for concrete where it is needed.
3. To prevent the propagation of cracks developed due to temperature and shrinkage stresses.
