Bond: A mix between steel and concrete creates a bond. A Perfect bond generates in such a way that no slips can occur between concrete and steel. Which transfer load from steel to concrete and vice versa.
Bond stress: stress developed on the outer surface of steel or reinforcement surrounding concrete is called bond stress. It helps to resist every force which tries to do a part between the bond of steel and concrete. Bond stress may vary as the grade of concrete varies.
Anchorage length & bond: anchorage bond is shown when the other certain forces are removed from that bar. Â So it will become necessary to transfer this load from the bar to its surrounding concrete at a certain length. Then this length is called anchorage length.
Development length: A length that is required to transfer the force in a bar to the surrounding concrete through their bond is called development length. It can be measured by the pull of the test.
