The full form of the EDM is Electronic Distance Measurement and preferably used in the electronic device called a theodolite. It is the method of measuring and determining the length between two points by electromagnetic waves. It is a highly reliable and convenient device for the surveying process. It can measure distance up to 100 kilometers. It provides very accurate readings which are easily visible on a digital screen.
