Grade 43 cement is the most commonly used cement for house construction in India. This grade of cement has a compressive strength of 43MPa after 28 days of curing and it complies with IS 8112-1989.
It should be noted that higher grades of cement are not always necessary for house construction, as the basic requirements are fulfilled by Grade 43 cement.
