Earthquakes occur deep within the Earth, and the technology to accurately predict an earthquake has not been developed. There are several factors that contribute to an earthquake, and they can be difficult to track accurately.
Additionally, various geological phenomena can cause small earthquakes that are difficult to detect. For these reasons, predicting earthquakes is still largely beyond our current abilities.
