Creep Concrete: Creep in concrete is a deformation of structure under sustained load. Long-term pressure on concrete can make it change shape. Creep deformation usually occurs in the direction of applied force. Creep does not necessarily cause concrete to fail or break. Factor Affecting Creep: AggreRead more
Creep Concrete: Creep in concrete is a deformation of structure under sustained load.
Factor Affecting Creep:
Aggregates: If the modulus of elasticity of aggregates is low then the creep is more and if the modulus of elasticity is more, the creep is less.
Mix proportion: Mix proportion indicates the water-cement ratio (WC ratio i.e. the strength of concrete ) in concrete. The strength of concrete is inversely proportional to the creep. If the strength is high creep is low, and if the strength is low then creep is high.
Creep Coefficient: It is defined as the ratio of creep strain to the elastic strain.
