Solution:
Let us consider a M20 grade concrete and ratio of materials for this is (1:1.5:3)
Density Of Material
Cement=1440kg/m³
Sand= 1600kg/m³
Aggregate= 1500kg/m³
Sum of ratios = 1+1.5+3=5.5
Material required for 1m³
First of all convert wet volume to dry volume=
1×1.54 = 1.54 m³
Volume of cement =( Ratio of cement /sum of ratio)x dry volume
( ⅕.5)x 1.54= 0.28m³
Cement volume = 0.28×1440
Therefore quantity of cement in kg =403 kg
Volume of sand = (1.5/5.5)X1.54×35.31= 14.83 cubic feet
Quantity of sand in kg= (1.5/5.5)x1.54×1600= 672 kg
Now , Volume of aggregate = (⅗.5)x1.54=0.84m³
Aggregate in kg =0.84×1500=1260kg
