Parking index: The parking index is also known as “efficiency of parking “.

It is defined as the ratio of the number of seats occupied in the parking to the total amount of occupancy.

Parking index = (Parking load ÷ Parking capacity) × 100

It helps us in utilizing the parking space efficiently.

Parking Turn Over: It is defined as the ratio of the parking seat occupied in the given time duration to the total number of seats available.

Parking turns over = Parking volume ÷ Number of seats available

Parking turnover can also be expressed as the number of vehicles per set per time duration.
