      1. Follow safety precautions and wear appropriate safety equipment when operating laboratory equipment.
      2. Make sure all equipment is properly calibrated and working properly before starting an experiment.
      3. Take accurate measurements and document them accurately to ensure the validity of the experiment.
      4. Clean up any spills or messes immediately in order to avoid accidents or further contamination.

      Don’ts:
      1. Do not attempt to operate any laboratory equipment if you do not understand its function or how to use it correctly.
      2. Do not attempt to modify or alter laboratory equipment.
      3. Do not leave any equipment unattended while it is in operation.
      4. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while in the laboratory.
