In order to become a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario, you must first meet the educational requirements set out by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). This includes having an accredited engineering degree from an approved university. Additionally, you must have five years of relevant engineering experience and be able to demonstrate professional competency.
You must then pass the Professional Practice Examination administered by PEO and complete the application for registration form with supporting documents. Once all the requirements for registration have been met, you will be granted your P.Eng license and can practice engineering in Ontario.
