To draw an isometric drawing in AutoCAD, you will need to use the Isometric snap and grid feature. To activate it, open the Drafting Settings dialogue window by clicking the small gear icon on the bottom right of your screen. Once it’s opened, select Isometric snap and grid. You can also access this tool by typing “ISo” into the command line.
You can then begin drawing your isometric drawing. Use the Ortho command to draw straight lines and use the circle command to draw circles. Use the ellipse command to draw arcs and quadrants. Create objects such as cubes, cylinders and prisms by typing their names into the command line. You can also scale your objects before drawing them.
Once you are finished drawing your isometric drawing, you can use the transparency feature to give your drawing depth. This can be done by selecting an object and then turning on the transparency feature.
Finally, you can save your drawing as a .dwg file.
