First, turn off the electricity to the area. Then, use the screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the old light fixture in place. Remove the fixture and disconnect it from the electrical wiring. Dispose of the old fixture properly.
Next, unpack the new light fixture box and read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Attach the mounting bracket to the box and secure it in place with the screws provided.
Mount the box to the ceiling joist or crossbar with the help of a friend or family member. Connect the electrical wires according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Finally, install the light fixture to the box and secure it with the screws provided. Turn the electricity back on to test the new light fixture and enjoy!
