If you want to join civil engineering after finishing your diploma in architecture, you will need to complete a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. You can either pursue a four-year bachelor’s of science program in civil engineering or a two-year master’s degree program in civil engineering. The coursework for both of these programs would cover a wide range of subjects related to civil engineering, including design, engineering materials, construction, structural analysis, and engineering management.
Depending on your academic background and experience, some universities may also allow you to transfer credits from your diploma in architecture towards your bachelor’s or master’s degree.
