      These are the basic principles of the surveying:

      1. Working from whole to part
      2. Location of points by measurement from two points of reference
      3. Consistency of work
      4. Independent check
      5. Accuracy of work.

      1. Working from whole to part: As the name of principle simply defines that the process is to be done from whole to part. This means the area which is to be surveyed, all control points are taken at the boundaries which covers the whole area with the higher degree of particularity. The main purpose of this principle is to reduce the accumulated errors.

      2. Location of points by measurement from two points of reference: In this principle of surveying the relative position or point which is to be surveyed is taken by the measure of at least two points of reference.
