Influent in wastewater treatment is the raw, untreated wastewater that enters a wastewater treatment facility. This wastewater can contain a range of materials, including suspended solids, organic matter, and microorganisms.
The influent is treated to remove pollutants and contaminants, producing a safe water effluent which can be discharged back into the environment.
