Slump value is used to measure the fluidity and consistency of concrete. It gives a basic idea of the ability of flowing and workability of the newly made concrete. In simple word we can say that more the value of slump, the wetter the mix will be. Slum value can be found out using slump test.
Low slump concrete is thicker and harder to consolidate, and it will trap pockets of air within the concrete, reducing its capability to handle compression.
High slump concrete is typically concrete which can flow easily they have high workability and don’t left air trapped. High slum can be achieved by adding more water or using plasticizer.
