Normally average consumption or demand per day per head is constant. But it will not always remain constant it may vary seasonally, monthly, etc. so variation may be considered as:

      Seasonal or monthly variation:

Water demand may vary from season to season or monthly. Like in the summer season water demand may be higher than another season about 30 to 40 percent. Because more use for drinking, coolers, bathing, etc.

In that case, we need about 20 percent less in winter because of fewer requirements for house chores, etc.

      Daily variation:

Everyday variation may vary because of different climatic conditions, and festivals. Because of storms or dusty days, more water is required, or other than that average annual water is required. Sometimes on a rainy day, less water is required.

      Hourly variation:

We count annual average water per head per day but it may vary due to hourly variations. Like in peak hours everyone wants to get ready for work so in that hours demand is more. But after that and household work hours water requirement is less.
