False ceilings can be made with both POP (Plaster of Paris) or Gypsum. Each material has its own benefits and drawbacks – POP is a solution which can provide a smoother finish, but it requires more maintenance and can be quite brittle. In contrast, gypsum is a better soundproofing material, it is fire-resistant, and it holds its shape better over time. It is also relatively inexpensive and easy to install.
