Noise pollution can be controlled through a number of measures, including: implementing regulations and laws on acceptable noise levels; encouraging people not to use loud equipment; setting up noise barriers and walls around busy areas; controlling urban planning to reduce noise; planting trees and vegetation to absorb noise; and providing more green spaces.
Noise-activated warning signs can also be used to alert people when noise levels exceed a certain decibel. Additionally, soundproofing can be done to buildings and vehicles to help to reduce noise pollution.
