3. Place the plywood in a secure position using clamps and being sure that the cut line is facing up.
4. Use a straight edge to guide the jigsaw blade along the line you drew.
5. Begin cutting by pressing down on the trigger and pushing the saw along the cut line at a slow and steady rate.
6. Monitor the progress of the cut, making sure the blade does not wander from the line.
7. When the blade has completed the cut, turn off the saw and remove the scrap piece of plywood.
