The process of creating a mark padastral for bridge abutments is fairly straightforward and can be accomplished by following a few simple steps.
1. First, the surveyor must locate the site of the proposed bridge abutment by making a topographic survey of the area. This survey should include all features such as trees, buildings, roads, rivers, etc., that will impact the location of the bridge.
2. Once the abutment site has been located, the surveyor should draw a map of the area, including the proposed bridge abutment. This map should also include any existing structures that are close to the area in order to protect them from potential impacts caused by the construction of the bridge.
3. The surveyor should then make a series of measurement stakes, which are used to establish the location of the bridge abutment and its relation to other surrounding features. These stakes should be set at the proper distance from the proposed bridge abutment, in accordance with the engineering design specifications.
4. After the stakes have been set, the surveyor should draw a “mark padastral” of the area. This is a drawing or sketch on which the proposed bridge abutment is placed along with the surrounding markers. This drawing should also include any existing structures that are close to the area, in order to ensure that the construction of the bridge does not negatively impact them.
5. Finally, the surveyor should check the accuracy of the measurements and the mark padastral before the construction of the bridge can begin. If everything appears to be in line with the engineering design specifications, the bridge abutment can be safely constructed.
