Pop and gypsum false ceiling both refer to the same type of ceiling system, which is usually used for decorative and architectural effect. The main difference between the two is that POP (Plaster of Paris) false ceiling requires curing after installation whereas a gypsum false ceiling does not.
A POP false ceiling is more durable, since it has a higher resistance to heat and moisture. On the other hand, gypsum false ceiling is lighter in weight and easier to install.
