What is Mivan Technology?
Mivan technology refers to the term that is a technology which use to construct a large no. of buildings at a faster rate. It means in simple words we can say that it is an innovative way to construct a large number of buildings at a faster rate. In this technology of constructing buildings, a special type of aluminium has been used.
Here the Mivan which use to construct the buildings is a quality aluminium which was developed by a European company whose name was Mivan Company Ltd. And it was developed in the year 1990. As the main focus in this technology is to construct the buildings at a faster rate, then it must be given more importance to the speed of constructing the buildings rather than anything else.
If the speed of constructing buildings has given more importance then there will be lot more challenges will come in the figure while giving more importance to the speed of constructing buildings. So to overcome all those unusual challenges, there is a smart method which to balance all those challenges which are known as the “ Mivan Formworks System“.
Mivan technology is widely used in some of the continents like Asia, Europe, Gulf countries, and some other parts of the globe. Mivan technology has also been widely used in Mumbai for making a large number of buildings which was made in a very short interval of time and also it has been declared as most economical and very much satisfying for the real state market in overall India.
So from the overall discussion about Mivan technology, it has become clear that it is a technology used for constructing a large number of buildings at a short interval of time while considering the room size for constructing walls and slabs in constant pour of concrete.
Mivan Meaning
In terms of construction Mivan means strong and durable. Mivan is a quality aluminium which was developed by a European company whose name was Mivan Company Ltd.
What is Mivan Formwork?
Mivan formwork means an advanced formwork made up of strong and quality aluminium which has more durable and great strength to withstand for constructing a large number of buildings.
Major Components of Mivan Formwork
Mivan components are divided into four categories, which are as follows
1. For Wall Components
Further wall components are divided into four categories.
(i) Wall panel
Wall panel is the most wall component which use to make the wall using a steel cut out which properly fix the size of the wall. This means it use to construct the wall using the aluminium frame.
(ii) Rocker
Rocker is an L-shaped panel in which there are some holes to support stub pins and which use for making the support of the wall panel.
(iii) Kickers
Kickers use as a ledge that performs a task to support the wall panel by constructing a wall face at the top of the wall panel. This means it acts as a supporter for a wall panel in the form of a wall.
(iv) Stub pin
It acts as joining components for all other wall components.
2. Beam Components
Beam components are further divided into three components and those components are as follows
(i) Beam side panel
Beam side panel is used to make the side of the beam and has cut in a rectangular shape for proper side beam construction.
(ii) Prop head
If the beam is not supported from the bottom then it is necessary to give them support to withstand. In this case, the prop head is used to give support to the beam. It is in V shape for proper support to the beam.
(iii) Panel for soffit beam
The soffit beam panel is in the shape of a rectangular box and has made up of aluminium. It has generally placed on the prop head to give support to the soffit beam.
3. Deck Components
Deck Components are further classified into four categories and are as follows
(i) Deck Panels
The Deck panel is a horizontal flat box that has been used to cast the slab.
(ii) Deck prop
The construction of the Deck prop is similar to the beam Deck prop, here the work of the Deck prop is to support the slab and also support the load which is affecting the desk panel.
(iii) Prop length
Prop length is the vertical support situated on the deck drop which is adjustable according to the height of the slab.
(iv) Soffit length
Soffit length is generally used to provide the required support to the deck panel according to the perimeter of the room.
Other Components
Other components include the rest of the stuff in which internal components are wall, beam, and deck while the external components are soffit corners, exterior and interior corners of the wall.

Mivan Construction Technology Advantages
There is a lot of advantages of Mivan construction technology. Some of the advantages are listed below:-
- As Mivan technology uses quality aluminium to perform its work there is no risk of corrosion at all.
- There has less no. of joints is present so, less maintenance is required.
- Construct a large number of buildings in a short interval of time.
- Here formwork panel can be utilised up to 200 times.
- The lubrication cost required in this technology is less.
Mivan Construction Technology Disadvantages
There are a lot of advantages of Mivan technology but also there are some of the disadvantages of Mivan construction technology which are listed below:-
- As this technology requires aluminium to perform its work, so the initial cost is high
- There has a risk of contraction crack in the system.
- The shear wall may cause problems regarding the high generation of heat.
- As it has a limited thickness of components used in this technology, it may cause difficulties in concealing location.
- The finishing line may be visible.
