The hot drum mix plant or the asphalt plant is an essential tool that helps in roadway construction. These hot drum plants permit the mixing of the aggregates and asphalt/bitumen at particular temperatures, resulting in the production of superior quality paving material.
Numerous types of models exist for the hot drum mix plants, starting from the stationery to the mobile systems.
Hot drum mix plants work as simple but intelligently created mechanical tools that can help in the seamless blending of minerals and aggregates. Through these systems, heating, blending, and mixing of asphalt can be done with ease. This helps to come up with the material that is deemed necessary for the purpose of building roadways.
Firstly, The loader feeds an aggregate of different specifications of aggregates into the corresponding batching hopper. These aggregates are weighed according to the pre-set ratio.
Then transport the weighed aggregates to the drying drum and dry and heat them. And convey them to the hot aggregate storage bins.
Next, heated aggregates, bitumen, and powder will be transferred to the mixer machine.
After mixing, the whole process finishes. You can transport the finished asphalt mixture directly to your construction site. Or you can store them in the finished storage bins.
