To use a theodolite for levelling, first you will need to set up the theodolite and adjust it until it is level. Once it’s in place, you will need to adjust the horizontal circle until it is pointing north. After that, you can start taking readings and measuring angles with the theodolite.
To measure the height of a point, you will need to set up two points, one at a known height and one at an unknown height. Then, use the theodolite to take the angle between the two points and the horizontal circle. By knowing the length of the baseline and the angle that was measured, you can then calculate the difference in height.
